MetaBIM is the primary database for tracking campus space inventory. If you need for access, please complete the steps below to request an account.
Step 1: Submit the MetaBIM Account Application
- Go to the MetaBIM Login Page.
- Select Portal Accounts to create your account and submit once complete.
Step 2: Complete the Facilities Management MetaBIM Access Request Form
All users must complete the Facilities Management MetaBIM Access Request Form prior to administrator approval.

The form requires:
- Your name and UC Merced email address
- Your university affiliation (Staff, Faculty, Graduate, or Undergraduate)
- Your department and job title
- Your manager’s full name
- The type of MetaBIM information you need access to
- Optional training request and availability
- Your signature and date
- Your manager’s approval signature and date
Once completed and signed, please email the form to spaceinventory@ucmerced.edu.
The MetaBIM Administrator will review and verify the submitted information. Access will be granted once all approvals are confirmed.
Step 3: Account Activation & Confirmation
Once your request has been reviewed and approved, you will receive an automated confirmation email from ucmerced@metabim.com notifying you that your account has been activated.
If you do not receive a confirmation email or experience any access issues, please contact spaceinventory@ucmerced.edu.
Access is granted only after all required approvals have been verified.
